Albanians would stick out like a sore thumb in Greece, especially with the blond hair and pink eyes.

My lawyer has asked me to clarify that very specific point.

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
You're right - because Sir Alex was never involved in any alleged shenanigans while out in a bar while holidaying.

He should just thank God that Sir Alex is not his manager.

If this had been RAHEEM the media would have hung him and finished his career by now...

Brentford.

I can't remember.

Like I said, happens all the time. He probably didn't feel it was noteworthy that his loved one was exposed to such imminent danger of death/kidnap/attack/risk. In those circumstances, it is easy for such things to slip your mind while being interviewed by one of the world's biggest broadcasters - like when you're out shopping and forget to buy toilet roll.

Southbank, are you captain of Man U?

Fair point

I did notice in all his weepy bits he seemed concerned about his sister but not sure he mentioned or was all that concerned about his girlfriend
The one he abandoned to her fate with these men who made him ‘fear for his life’ as he legged it.

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
We've all been there, Sven.

I'm approached all of the time by mystery-and-as-yet-unidentified Albanians wielding syringes while waiting for cabs outside bars in which I've drunk copious amounts of alcohol while holidaying but still texting my agent while drunk and watching major threats to my friends and family unfold from a convenient distance.

Happens all the time, mate. Cut him some slack.

I like to think I'm good at judging people and their body language.
I believe him.

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
I am no body language expert at all, but having just watched Maguire's interview, he's lying. About something.

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
So if I have this straight

They are in a bar being perfectly well behaved.
They leave and are waiting out the front for a taxi for a large group & a couple of pesky Albanians inject his sister & she collapses
Taxi arrives & they ask to go to their apartment not the hospital
Taxi drives off and takes a different turn & stops & several men approach (police but in plain clothes).
They harrass the people especially the girls with them,
As he is so concerned for the safety of the girls Harry Maguire runs off but is still in sight of the taxi. He calls his agent & sends several messages and then goes back.
Before running off again & gets taken into what he finally believes is a police station
Plain clothes police in this plain clothes police station then arrest him.
He says he has used no violence or abuse and did not offer a bribe to be released

Sounds perfectly plausible

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
Who knows?

The whole thing is a clusterfuck.

Everybody appears to have a very different story about their role, what happened, whether there was violence, whether anybody was 'injected' etc etc.

Clearly the Greeks, rightly or wrongly, have concluded that Maguire is lying because they have prosecuted him for two things he says he never did: attempted bribery and some form of assault.

As things stand, under the law, Maguire is the liar. I have no idea whether he is lying. But if he wins his appeal, that changes and the Greek coppers could be the liars (depending on how nuanced any change of sentence/verdict is).

It's nuts.

Re: Harry Maguire arrested in Mykonos
Having read all the stories from Maguire and his group and the Astynomia (Greek OB), it looks like a setup for a bribe that didn't come off?

Maguire's story has got bigger holes in it than Man Utd's defence.
